Bare branches surprised
by the newly fallen snow
will forget in spring.

Some sadnesses
shrink
to tiny hardened pebbles.
Easy to forget
until stepped on
and then
the pain sears.

Hit a seam
of molten anger
yesterday,
had to be careful
to let it
propel me forward
into action,
not inward
scorch my spirit.

Wow,wow and wow. Scorched, exquisite pain(too beautiful to mean hurts like hell) and a Haiku for seasons that remember and forget. I remember running barefoot and trying to be careful of sharp pebbles, but if I just ran I usually missed the sharp ones.
