Garden Haiku

Reaching for the sky
a flowering skyscraper,
my delphinium.

A hazard of hues
tossed upon the green landscape,
my garden palette.

Nasturtiums race
in competition for sun,
colorful runners.

Because the strawberries
hide under cover of green,
I hunt for scarlet.
